The purpose of this test method is to provide a means of designating the size classification of RDF-3 for use by consumers and producers of RDF-3.1.1 This test method of designating the size of refuse-derived fuel from its sieve analysis is applicable to the classified light fraction (RDF-3) of shredded municipal or industrial waste materials less than 0.15 m (6 in.) in size.1.2 The values stated in acceptable metric units are to be regarded as standard.
