This standard specifies terms and definitions, ordering information, classification, grade and code, dimensions, shape, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of stainless steel wires.
This standard is applicable to stainless steel wires (hereinafter referred to as steel wires), except for stainless steel wires for cold heading and welding, and austenitic and precipitation-hardening stainless spring wires.
