6.1 The dynamic data obtained with the procedures given in this specification measure the cushioning properties of the pole vault landing systems tested.6.2 The size of the pole vault landing system is specified with respect to the kinematics of body movement.1.1 This specification covers minimum requirements of size, physical characteristics of materials, standard testing procedures, labeling and identification of pole vault landing systems.1.2 Units—The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
