This part of GB 39800 specifies the overall requirements for provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), including the principles for PPE provision, procedures for PPE provision, hazard identification and risk assessment in workplace, selection of PPE, tracing of PPE, disposal and replacement of PPE, training, and use, etc.
This part is applicable to the provision and management of PPE by employers.
This part is not applicable to provision and management of PPE used for firefighting by employers.
